Order from ArcelorMittal Belgium for a steel strip coating pot and lifting platform

In April, the Korean customer Bum Yang Metal ordered a new crucible melting furnace for chip and return material at Induga. The induction furnace will become Induga's second melting furnace at Incheon's customer base. The new furnace serves as a backup for the existing furnace and is transferring metal via a launder into a horizontal casting furnace. The existing chip charging equipment which now already feeds the first Induga furnace, is modified by the customer independently for the selective use at both melting furnaces.

The new coreless furnace has a capacity of 5 tons and is equipped with a 1200 kW IGBT converter system. As primary chips are to be melted, a specially designed exhaust hood with water-cooled fume extraction tube is used.
